Here at Wicor recycling is a priority. We have teamed up with Terracycle to recycle pens, bakery product packaging, hand wash pumps and Pringles tubes. We also partner with other schemes to recycle printer cartridges and batteries which bring us money for books and donations we make to charities. We have chosen these products to collect as they are difficult to recycle in our local area. Lots of children are involved with the sorting, packing and then sending away to be recycled. We know recycling is not the best way of reducing waste which is why we also teach our children about reducing the amount of 'stuff' they throw away and how they can carefully consider whether they need something in the first place.

In April 2025 we teamed up with Astra Textile Recycling. The clothing bank allows our local community to recycle their textiles while raising funds for the school.
We accept the following wearable items:
All men's, ladies and children's clothing
Paired Shoes
Handbags, bags, ties and belts
Bed linen, and soft toys
We cannot accept the following items:
Duvets both synthetic and feathered.
Pillows & cushions
Carpets & Rugs
Soiled or wet clothing
Workwear
Shredded or mutilated textile material
Textile off cuts, yarns or threaded material

The children channelled these feelings into doing something positive for the community.
CyclingWe encourage children to cycle, scoot or walk to school where possible and if a car journey is required, we suggest parking five minutes away from school and walking in to avoid the traffic.
