Punctuality

At Wicor the expectation is that all children are in class ready to learn by 8.45am when the register is taken.  Our doors open at 8.35am to allow children time to settle themselves ready for the start of the school day.

To help ensure children's safety, our internal gates will be locked, so there will be no direct access to the classrooms.  Therefore, from 8.45am, pupils will need to access the school via the school office.

Any child who arrives between 8.45am and 8.55am will need to register at the school office and will be marked as 'late'.

Any child who arrives in school after 8.55am will need to register at the school office and will be marked as 'late after close of registration' and this is classed as an unauthorised absence unless the office receives a satisfactory explanation.

If the school has any concerns about a pattern of lates or absences, our Home School Link Worker will contact the family to share concerns and seek solutions to ensure the child can be punctual every day.
