Welcome to the Wicor Primary PTA Page

The PTA is made up of Parents, Grandparents, Carer’s, Staff & Governors of Wicor Primary School. The PTA is open to everyone that is associated directly with the School. We are always looking to welcome new members and volunteers and encourage all who are interested to attend our monthly meetings, so please don’t be shy, we’d love to see you there.

What the PTA does

We are an enthusiastic & dedicated group of Volunteers, who are passionate about our School Community and assisting the Staff & Governing body to provide the best environment and equipment for all its pupils, so that the children are able to reach their full potential & be the best that they can be.

The money we raise goes directly on enriching the lives of the pupils

Over the years we have raised much needed funds to buy equipment & to boost the School grounds: -

Sports Kits & Equipment

The Weather Station

Lunchtime Play Equipment

Pond Liner & Pond Plants

Special Math’s Blocks for Year R

Full of Bright ideas

We are always looking for new and exciting fundraising ideas and opportunities to support the School, but usually we raise money through our annual fun events and initiatives:

Summer Fayre

Christmas Fayre

Seasonal Secret Present Rooms

School Disco’s

Sporting Circles Refreshments

Ice-Cream Sales

Sharing is Caring

We also like to give back to the children and like to show the families that we care for their children and appreciate them, so we organise Surprise Seasonal Visits each year, where a special gift is given to each child, from both Father Christmas & the Easter Bunny. Because we’re good friends of both, we like to pull a few strings for the children where we can, to see those huge smiles on all of the children’s faces (and many of the teachers too!) when they surprise them.

Going forward

We are looking into a few new fundraising ideas for the Academic Year ahead; Pupil Movie Nights, Camping on the Field, a Silent Auction Evening or potentiality an Open-Air Concert or Cinema night! But should you have any new and innovative ideas then please do let us know. We’re always open to suggestions.
